Mally Beauty Evercolor Stick in "Twilight"

by 7BearSarah in

As I was browsing the shelves at Ulta, I came across the Mally Beauty section. Lately, I have been really into eyeshadow products that are a one step type of thing. They are super easy and effortless.

I apologize for the slight blurry-ness of this photo. My camera was having focusing issues. Anyway, these are available for $25 at Ulta and mallybeauty.com

I purchased the color "Twilight" because I don't have any colors like this in my collection. It is a very cool-toned, almost taupe brown.

As for wear-time, this product is EXCELLENT! I can wear this alone (no primer needed) and it lasts all day with zero smudging, fading and the like.

The only downside is the hefty price tag. $25 is a bit steep but I think the product is amazing nonetheless.

Let me know if you've tried these and what your favorite shade is.

Hello Beauties!
How is everything going?
I know it's been a while. If you don't follow me on Twitter or YouTube (you should to keep up to date), you wouldn't know why I've been so MIA. I have recently had a lot of changes in my life and it has been a roller coaster of emotions. I won't get in to detail just yet (I might in a future vlog on my channel). On another note, this past weekend (which was Easter. How was your holiday?), I started developing an intense pain in my lower back. As my mother had back problems around last fall, she thought it was imperative that I see a doctor. I had an MRI and the doctor concluded that I have a herniated disk (the internet will be able to explain everything much better than I can). I am scheduled for an epidural injection on Wednesday (cross your fingers that it helps).

With all of that out of the way, I wanted to share with you some of the makeup looks that I have done on myself in the recent months that haven't been seen on the blog. Many of these were done a long time ago so I am pretty foggy about the products used. I also wanted to throw in some lifestyle pictures from the past few months so you guys can see what I've been up to. Some may even have tutorials that go along with them. On another note, I have a few products that I wanted to review for you so those posts will be up later this week! So without further ado, here you go:

My best friend, Kaity and I at our spa day (best Christmas present ever!)
I was really loving big bouncy curls for a while
My beautiful mother and I during our girl's weekend in downtown Chicago
Beautiful view of the city!

According to my Instagram caption of this picture, I used the Naked 3 Palette from Urban Decay and Revlon "Flirtatious" Lacquer Balm

My not-so-Saint-Patrick's day-look
I recently cut 12 inches off of my hair. It feels amazing and it's so much easier to style now.

My most recent tutorial inspired by Dauntless from Divergent

Okay, So that is the round-up of everything that has happened in the past few months. There are reviews of some really hyped-up products coming up! Stay Tuned.
Have a great day.

Fall Clothing Haul (+ Gifts for My Niece and Nephew)

by 7BearSarah

I recently went shopping for a trip I am taking to Iowa to visit my brother. I was in need of some warmer clothing as it doesn't get very cold here in Texas. Along the way, I picked up a few bits and pieces for my niece and nephew.

The other things mentioned in this video were unable to be found online, but check your local Target stores if you are interested.

Essie Sleek Sticks Nail Appliqué Review

by 7BearSarah in ,

I was in Target recently and I saw that Essie had these nail stickers (very similar to the Sally Hansen version) so I decide to pick up a few. They are $10 each so, in my book that's strike one. Sally Hansen's usually range from $7.50 to $8.50.
As for application, they were extremely easy. But I had an issue with the adhesive on on of the stickers. It refused to stick to my index nail and so I ended up taking them all off before I could even get a picture.
I tried them again, this time in "Sea Me Shine!" (Pictured below)

These applied exponentially better than the other set I had and, personally I like the design much better.

Overall, I don't think I will be purchasing these again. They are a bit expensive and I prefer the Sally Hansen version as far as longevity goes.

Have you tried these? If so, what did you think?

Caviar Nails: Yay or Nay?

by 7BearSarah in , ,

When I was shopping with my ten year old cousin recently, we went into Claire's and we found these caviar nail sets and we were both very intrigued. I had seen these a million times before on beauty blogs and they never caught my eye. When I saw these sets on sale for buy one get one 50% off, I figured "what the hell?". Now that I have the pearls on my nails, I like the look but I don't think I would do all ten nails (but that's just my opinion). Overall, I think it's a good bargain and it is pretty fun and easy to do.

PS, the nail color I am wearing is OPI "Where is my Czech-book?"

Have you tried this trend? What do you think?

NotD: Essie "Sunday Funday"

by 7BearSarah in , ,

"Sunday Funday" is a part of Essie's summer collection so I'm a bit late to the party on this one. I saw this at my local Target and I was immediately drawn to this color.
Now that I'm really thinking about it, this color is not unique. It is almost an exact dupe of both OPI's "I Eat Maine-Ly Lobster" and L'Oreal's "Tangerine Crush". I wish I wasn't so impulsive due to the fact that I own both of the aforementioned polishes.
I do recommend this color though if you want to add a pop of color to an outfit.

Available at Target and Ulta for around $8

Sephora Storylook Ariel Palette!

by 7BearSarah

As a massive Disney fangirl, you can guess how excited I was to finally get this palette in the mail.

First of all, the outside packaging is beautiful.  It has a gorgeous metallic silver overlay that is incredibly hard to capture on camera so I suggest seeing it in person to really appreciate its beauty. The packaging brings both elements of the sea and elements from the movie together in such a beautiful way.

This is just the BOX that the palette comes in!

The casing for the palette itself is equally as beautiful .It portrays a silhouette of Ariel as well as different elements from the movie in the same silver overlay.

Now on to the main event: The eyeshadows. This palette contains 20 eyeshadows that are 0.035 oz a piece (to put things in perspective, a MAC eyeshadow is 0.05oz). All of the shadows have very Little Mermaid-esque names such as "Sea Witch" and my favorite name of them all "Les Poissons" (Hee Hee Hee Hoh Hoh Hoh...sorry, I had to).

The shadows range from mattes to shimmer and there is the occasional glitter shadow, but surprisingly, they all blend like a dream, even the matte shades (which is surprising as it is very rare to find a brand that makes good matte shadows). Now, I'm sure you all really want to see the swatches so I will get right on with it. I did use a skin tone colored primer under every swatch.

From L to R: Blue Lagoon, Scuttle, Flounder, Sabastian, Flotsam, Sea Shells, Les Poissons, Caspian Sea, Your Voice, Unfortunate Souls, Atlantica, Fins, Sick of Swimmin', Ursula, Sha La La

From L to R: Triton, Wanderin' Free, Jetsam, Sea Witch, Treasures Untold

This palette retails for $55 on Sephora's website. It is really hard to get your hands on so if you are lucky enough to get one, do it because you won't regret it.
